Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Accountant with solid experience in general accounting and Spanish tax regulations to join our Finance team. This is a full-time, on-site position in Madrid, offering the opportunity to work in an agile, tech-driven environment while providing accounting rigor and key support to our international growth.


Responsibilities

  • Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations
  • Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) invoices
  • Review and approve employee expenses in accordance with internal policy
  • Post payroll journal entries and process salary payments
  • Reconcile corporate credit cards and business expenses
  • Ensure compliance with Spanish tax obligations (Forms 303, 349, 390, 111, 190, 115, 180)
  • Perform subledger and intercompany reconciliations
  • Maintain fixed assets and amortizations
  • Complete INE statistical surveys
  • Prepare weekly payment batches through the bank platform
  • Actively participate in monthly financial closings
  • Respond to internal accounting inquiries and ad hoc requests


Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in general accounting, preferably in Spanish companies
  • Strong command of Spanish GAAP (PGC) and tax reporting
  • Experience with accounting tools such as A3, SAP, or similar
  • Attention to detail, autonomy, and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Fluent in both Spanish and English, written and spoken
