Drive publisher acquisition across the DACH market, managing the sales process from prospecting and initial outreach through to closing.
Build, manage, and develop a healthy sales pipeline, prioritizing opportunities based on commercial potential and strategic value.
Lead publisher acquisition efforts across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, working closely with sales and operational colleagues.
Build strong relationships with prospects and publishers, becoming a trusted commercial contact and developing mutually beneficial short- and long-term partnerships.
Conduct outbound prospecting through cold calling, email, LinkedIn outreach, online meetings, and other relevant sales channels.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in the company’s CRM, recording leads, opportunities, and client interactions on a daily basis.
Develop a strong understanding of the DACH digital publishing landscape and identify new commercial opportunities.
Represent Refinery89 at relevant industry events and networking opportunities.
Work towards monthly and quarterly KPIs, contributing directly to the company’s commercial growth objectives.
Professional fluency in German and English is required. Dutch or other European languages are considered an advantage.

2+ years of sales or business development experience, particularly involving cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn prospecting, and online or face-to-face meetings.
Previous experience working with clients, prospects, or publishers across the DACH market.
A good understanding of digital media metrics, web analytics, digital advertising formats, and advertising technologies.
An established network within the German-speaking digital publishing or media industry.
Previous experience in a similar role within an AdTech company, publisher sales house, trading desk, digital agency, or related digital media organization.
Knowledge of programmatic advertising and publisher monetization.
The interview process for this role consists of four stages:
Initial screening – Introductory call with a recruiter.
First interview – Video call with members of the Publisher Success team.
Second interview – Video call with the Hiring Manager and/or senior stakeholders.
Final interview – In-person meeting with the Hiring Manager and key team members.
