As an Account Manager, Publishers (Brazil), you will manage and grow relationships with premium Portuguese speaking publishers, acting as their main point of contact and trusted advisor. Your focus will be to ensure strong performance, high satisfaction, and long term retention by combining relationship management, performance optimization, and proactive support.
This is a fully remote independent contractor position based in Brazil. The selected candidate will enter into a contractor agreement with Refinery89's Dutch entity in the Netherlands, which will also be responsible for the contractual payments.
You will work closely with internal teams including Publisher Sales, Technical Account Managers, AdTech, Product, and Finance to deliver measurable outcomes while maintaining a consistently high quality publisher experience.
Account Ownership & Growth
• Manage and grow relationships with premium publisher accounts in Brazil via email, WhatsApp, and calls.
• Act as the primary point of contact, ensuring clarity, trust, and continuity.
Performance Management
• Monitor, analyze, and interpret performance metrics to proactively identify optimization and growth opportunities.
• Translate performance data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations.
Issue Resolution & Support
• Take full ownership of publisher issues from start to finish.
• Coordinate internally with relevant teams while remaining accountable for resolution and communication.
Strategic Advisory
• Develop a strong understanding of the publisher monetization ecosystem and platform technology.
• Identify upsell and expansion opportunities aligned with publisher performance and needs.
• Act as a trusted advisor by providing data driven guidance and strategic recommendations.
Internal Collaboration
• Share publisher feedback and market insights with internal teams to improve products, workflows, and execution.
• Work cross functionally to support initiatives that drive publisher success.
Relationship Cadence & Communication
• Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and Annual Business Reviews (ABRs) with key partners.
• Maintain high standards of communication, including fast response times, proactive updates, and clear closure of all issues.
• Acknowledge messages or tickets as soon as possible.
• Own issues from start to finish and escalate internally when required.
• Proactively update publishers before they need to follow up.
• Communicate clearly, empathetically, and transparently.
• Always close the loop once issues are resolved.
• Native Brazilian Portuguese is mandatory, with medium to high proficiency in English.
• 2 to 3 years of experience in AdTech, digital advertising, or publishing.
• Minimum 1 year of hands on experience setting up campaigns in ad servers, such as Google Ad Manager.
• Strong relationship management skills with senior stakeholders.
• Ability to explain technical concepts in a simple, actionable way.
• Data driven mindset with experience using dashboards and performance reports.
• Highly organized, detail oriented, and proactive.
• Comfortable working in a fast paced, evolving environment.
• Comfortable working remotely and collaborating with an international team across different locations.
• Experience working directly with publishers or monetization platforms.
• AdTech background is a strong plus.
This position is offered on an independent contractor basis rather than as local employment in Brazil.
The contractor agreement and payments will be handled directly through Refinery89's Dutch entity in the Netherlands.
The selected candidate must be able to legally provide services as an independent contractor from Brazil and comply with any applicable local requirements related to their contractor status.
The interview process for this role consists of four stages:
Initial screening: Introductory call with a recruiter.
First interview: Video call with members of the Publisher Success team.
Second interview: Video call with the Hiring Manager and/or senior stakeholders.
Final interview: Final meeting with the Hiring Manager and key team members.
